The Music of Talk explores how people process music through the amygdala, the same ancient and primal brain that has been our defense system since before human beings had speech. The many levels of musical communication: between people in love, between people in community, between leaders and followers, lead us to the one place where we can still witness musical gestures being processed pre-verbally: between mothers and infants.
This fascinating concert is conceptualized and performed by renowned Canadian broadcaster and author Tom Allen and harpist Lori Gemmell, with the INNERchamber Ensemble.
