A Stratford native, Dan Stacey has been performing O’Carolan’s music for the better part of 20 years. Carolan’s 17th century melodies have been passed to him by great Irish recording artists The Chieftains, De Dannan, and Joanie Madden of Cherish The Ladies. In recent years, Dan has focused solely on the version recorded by Derek Bell, the legendary Irish harper from Belfast. 

As a performer Dan has presented Carolan’s music at Stratford Summer Music, and in concert halls in the US, Scotland and Ireland. He plans to take his repertoire to audiences in Japan in December 2025.
