From time immemorial, Jewish people lived in Spain, which in Hebrew they named Sefarad. In the late 1400’s, they were expelled from the Iberian Peninsula into the broader European context bringing with them a centuries-old culture. This rich tradition picked up influences from the Mediterranean and beyond: Türkiye, Morocco, Bulgaria, and so much more.

Joined by Matt Sellick on flamenco guitar as well as our own Andrew Chung and Graham Hargrove, Tamar Ilana’s passion for the music of   Sephardic people blazes through the art of Flamenco.
