Marek Norman
composer
Long considered one of Canada’s most versatile entertainment artists, Mr. Norman has been creating theatre and/or concert music for the past five decades. He was the initial Composer-in-Residence for Stratford’s INNERchamber Ensemble and is currently mentoring several young musician/songwriters. His theatre scores include Wanderlust, The Great Adventure, Larry’s Party, Emily, and Dracula – A Chamber Musical.
These, and other original works, have been presented in many of this country’s major theatre centres such as the Stratford, Shaw and Charlottetown Festivals. Concert works for choir and orchestra (ie; Maranatha, Noel, Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow) have been heard in concert halls across North America – including NYC’s famed Carnegie Hall. Marek has written a number of theme songs for organizations such as Special Olympics, Bridgefest, Canada Games, and the World Festival of Children’s Theatre.
